The draconian association laws put in place by the previous Queensland government are still in place. These VLAD laws imposed a 6 month mandatory sentence on a person who was in the company of 2 or more people, where those 3 people knew members of a motorcycle club. The laws also sought to deprive people from earning a living in the construction, towing, tattoo and tow truck industries.

Last year’s High Court challenge resulted in a decision which criticised the laws, and limited them, but we cannot stop until they are gone. We need to rid our State of this draconian legislation. People are still being charged under these laws for doing nothing more than being in public, and both the victims (and their families) remain in fear. Recent protests need to be supported and submissions need to be sent to Parliament. The following are some recent news links to protests that have been held.
